Running Biomechanics Assessment
Running assessments are designed to assess your running biomechanics to determine if there are any biomechanical variations that could be contributing to reduced performance or a running-related injury. Your Physiotherapist will perform detailed running assessments to determine whether your biomechanical variations are related to deficits in strength, flexibility, tissue tolerance or psychological factors (i.e., protecting a previous injury). Following the assessment, your Physiotherapist will prescribe you a home exercise program to address assessment findings. If required, your Physiotherapist will provide running retraining techniques to facilitate your biomechanical variations. It is recommended that any exercise program or retraining techniques are assessed at a minimum of one follow up consult.
